You can reach the Universitat Jaume
I from Valencia airport (65 km),
Barcelona (285 km), Alicante (231 km) or Madrid (415 km). The best options, by far, are
Valencia and Barcelona.
From Valencia
From the airport (Aeroport, in
Catalan), you can take the metro until
Xátiva (lines 3 and/or 5), which is located just outside
Estación del Norte de Valencia (Valencia Estació del
Nord, Main Railway Station).
From there, a local train (cercanías/rodalíes)
connects Valencia and Castellón (Castelló de la Plana)
every 30 minutes on working
days and 60 minutes on Sundays and bank holidays. You can
buy your ticket at automatic dispensers located in the hall. The trip takes one hour. Once at
the Castellón/Castelló
railway station, the Hotel Luz is just accross the street (north gate).
From Barcelona
Local train (cercanías/rodalíes)
every 30 minutes from the airport to Barcelona Sants Railway Station.
Once there, take a long
distance train to Castellón (approximately every two
hours). You can check the timetable and buy your tickets here (it is highly recommended to buy them
in advance).
The best option is to use TRAM, a
trolley bus recently opened to
connect the city center with the University every 5-7 minutes. It has a stop near the railway
station and the hotel. Price of the
ticket: 1 euro. Tram

Once at the University...
The symposium will take place at
the Institut de Matemàtiques i
Aplicacions de Castelló (IMAC), Escuela Superior de
Tecnología y Ciencias Experimentales. The
IMAC is located here, whereas the final stop of the TRAM can
be seen here.
